Stephanie A. Ristvey, a legal recruiter with SMR Legal Search conducted a CLE entitled, Managing Multiple Priorities: Effective Time Management Tips and Ethical Considerations for Paralegals, for members of the Philadelphia Association of Paralegals on November 4th in Philadelphia.
Ms Ristvey addressed helpful time management tips and discussed ethical considerations that paralegals must adhere to in the delivery of legal services. The seminar explored how the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct and the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct play a role in managing multiple priorities in the day-to-day activities of paralegals. Emphasis was placed on understanding Rule 1.1 Competence, Rule 1.3 Diligence and Rule 1.5 Fees. Throughout the seminar, Ms. Ristvey engaged participants in active discussions related to paralegal concerns governing time management while working with attorneys in law firm and corporate legal department settings. Ms. Ristvey also provided the participants with tips on achieving a work-life balance. |
